Understanding a UKREMT Registration Check

A UKREMT registration check confirms whether a person is currently listed on the UK Register of Emergency Medical Teams Managed Voluntary Register. UKREMT registration supports transparency, professional recognition and public confidence, but it does not replace statutory registration where this is legally required.

What it confirms

Name, registration number, current status, level or grade, expiry date and any public restrictions where applicable.

What it does not confirm

Employment status, DBS, insurance, full scope of practice, right to work, medicines authority, emergency driving authority or statutory registration.

Employer responsibility

Employers, agencies and event organisers must still check identity, qualifications, DBS where required, insurance, local governance and statutory registration where applicable.

UKREMT is a Managed Voluntary Register. It is not a statutory regulator and does not grant HCPC, GMC or NMC registration. If someone is claiming to be a paramedic, doctor, nurse or other protected professional, check directly with the relevant statutory regulator.

If someone is not found

If someone cannot be found, their registration may be pending, lapsed, suspended, removed, entered under a different name, or not held by UKREMT. Do not assume a person is registered unless their current status can be verified through the live check or confirmed directly by UKREMT.
